Baby's first...

...Halloween

This is just one of her costumes from this year.
She's at that age where she refuses to pause for a picture.
Although i am not so sure it's a stage-
I have a feeling we will be battling over this very issue for years to come.
She is also at that age where she won't let me put anything on her head.
Apparently she doesn't understand how important bows are for a bald baby girl.

The nanny got this cute little costume for her.
She looks pretty cute in black, if i don't say so myself.

Home.

She's growing up way to fast.
I leave for a week and it is like she's all grown up.
She remembered me... Thank God.
Took today off and spent the whole day with her.
We bonded.
Not sure I ever want to go back.
So glad to be back home.

Storytelling…

Some stories to remember of our Charlotte at 10 months…

BONK! That’s our new favorite word… we say it at least 20 times a day whenever Charlotte takes a tumble. She is a turbo crawler and sometimes forgets to looks up and BONK!s into the wall or chair or whatever is in her way. She’s pulling herself to standing, then lets go to take a step towards mommy or daddy... then ends up on her bottom. BONK!

Teeth. For a long time, my baby had two front teeth- just like the song, only she grew them not lost them. Then, all of the sudden, at 10 months- BAM four more teeth with two more on the way. One word: OUCH (I know from experience- my wisdom teeth are growing in.) But she was a trooper.

First (and hopefully last) ear infection. Poor girl- runny nose, cough, fever. No fun (I know from experience… how many adults do you know with ear infections?!? Well, now you know at least one. I’m not sure if I gave it to her or she gave it to me? Or maybe it’s a result of sympathy pains- the mind is a very powerful thing.)

Picky eater? Already? Charlotte refuses to let us feed her anymore- in fact, she hasn’t let us feed her anything that requires us putting a spoon into her mouth for months now. She was good with the finger foods for a while… bananas, carrots, peas, greenbeans… but now I think she is bored. We’ve tried pasta and chicken and cheese but she doesn’t seem interested. Any ideas from you professional moms out there on how to feed a 10 month old?!?

Other very talented tricks: kissing, clapping, waving, blowing kisses, pointing, high-fiving, dancing, singing, saying mama and dada (even though she’s not sure who is who), drumming, splashing, blowing bubbles, unplugging (very dangerous), opening drawers (also very dangerous), and making big messes.

Tongue. Charlotte has discovered her tongue. She just can’t get enough. See for yourself:
